According to its website, ESET provides comprehensive Endpoint Protection for macOS with low system demands. The previous vendor – Microsoft – discontinued use and development of their System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) 2012 (effective March 2019) and partnered with ESET to provide the new antivirus program to be an equivalent of SCEP. On March 8, UNH IT rolled out a new antivirus for institutionally-owned Macs called ESET.
